Algarviana Route

Great Pedestrian Route with a 300km extension that connects Alcoutim to Cape S. Vicente crossing the Algarve.
It is considered the “backbone” of the Algarve’s trails close to the natural and cultural interests of the region.

Ecovia

In an extension of 228km, this infrastructure connects Cabo de S. Vicente to Vila Real de Santo António along roads close to the sea. This route uses pre-existing cycle paths as mixed traffic roads with reduced circulation or nature trails in areas protected by magnificent landscapes along the Algarve coast.

In a total of 450km this Great Route, which can be traveled both on foot and by mountain bike, connects the cities of Santiago do Cacém to Cabo de S. Vicente. Formed by the Historical Path, Fishermen’s Trail and by several Circular Paths, this route proposes an experience along one of the most beautiful and well preserved coastal areas of southern Europe.

Guadiana Route

This route is about 65km in length and runs through the territory of the Lower Guadiana, passing through the counties of Alcoutim, Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António, which represent the typicity of the mountain range, the barrocal and the coast. Landscape, heritage, ethnography, gastronomy, physical activity and pure air are the secret of this great pedestrian route that approaches the coast to the mountain interior.
